MISSION

The mission of Stonewall Village NYC is to ensure that New York City LGBTQ older adults have access to safe, welcoming, affordable housing and related health and mental health services that meet their unique medical and psycho-social needs.

Stonewall Village NYC, a project of Stonewall Community Development Corporation (SCDC), is a response to needs and issues discovered by SCDC’s first-ever citywide survey of LGBTQ senior housing needs.

In addition to educating and organizing the community around affordable senior housing, Stonewall Village NYC provides access to services and products that help people age in place more successfully and a safe social space where LGBTQ seniors can feel comfortable being out with each other.
